In men's single Group A, as predicted first seeded Viktor Axelsen successfully sailed through to semifinal. The second spot was a close battle between Kodai Naraoka of Japan and Lu Guang Zu of China. Naraoka finally prevails with 21-19, 21-15 win, and a spot in semifinal.
In Group B, surprisingly, second seeded Chou Tien Chen lost all three of his matches and ended up at the bottom of the group. Indonesia through to semifinal with two representatives in men's single, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting and Jonatan Christie sitting first and second spot respectively. |

Women's single Group A sees a do or die situation. All four players had a win and a lost in their first and second round. Yesterday's match was a decisive one. Whoever wins will go through to the semifinal. Finally, Chen Yu Fei and Akane Yamaguchi won their matches and qualified to the knockout out stage. |
In Group B, two home ground representatives
Ratchanok Intanon and Busanan Ongbamrungphan missed out on their chance to qualify for semifinal. Ongbamrungphan lost all her matches and was at the bottom of the group. Intanon tried her best to battle second seeded Tai Tzu Ying but have to accept defeat by the score line of 10-21 21-12 7-21 in rubber games. |

Ong Yew Sin -Teo Ee Yi of Malaysia and Fajar Alfian - Muhammad Rian Ardianto of Indonesia qualified to semifinal after winning two matches each. |

The winner of 'Pair of the year 2022' first seed, Zheng Si Wei - Huang Ya Qiong of China comfortably through to semis. The second placing was decided through a very tense game between Indonesia's Rinov Rivaldy - Pitha Haningtyas Mentari and France's Thom Gicquel - Delphine Delrue. Eventually Indonesia claim the place with 14-21 21-17 24-22 win. |
In Group B, Dechapol Puavaranukroh - Sapsiree Taerattanachai of Thailand and Tan Kian Meng - Lai Pei Jing of Malaysia join in the ride to semifinals. |
